CDP / Dentsu London (UK)

CDP is the UK outpost of Japanese marketing giant, Dentsu. Once famed as London's most creative and prestigious agency, Collet Dickenson Pearce suffered a number of setbacks during the 1980s and 1990s, not least a string of client defections and management problems. In 2001, the struggling agency's rapid decline was halted to some extent by its effective takeover by fast-growing creative boutique Travis Sully to form the awkwardly named cdptravissully. However, the erosion of billings continued. The agency was restructured once again at the end of 2006, and given back its original name of CDP. It is expected to rebrand once more in January 2009 as Dentsu London. Click here for the Adbrands.net profile (subscribers only); or subscribe to Adbrands.net here.
