Innocent (UK)

Innocent Drinks has snapped up a leading position in UK supermarkets with its range of lovingly prepared fresh fruit smoothies. Assisted by quirky and offbeat marketing, Innocent was one of the country's fastest growing food and drink products during the first decade of the 2000s, and now ranks among the UK's top 50 supermarket brands. However growth began to slow in 2007, encouraging the company to broaden its footprint into traditional orange juice as well as vegetable-based ready meals. It agreed to sell a minority shareholding to Coca-Cola in 2009 to raise expansion capital. A year later, the soft drinks giant increased its stake to 58%.
