Acxiom is a leading IT services company which specialises in customer
relationship technology and information management. It offers a broad range of CRM-related marketing services including direct
mail and digital marketing, as well as more traditional technology consulting and outsourcing, as well as identity verification solutions. The company was originally founded in the late 1960s and was known as Demographics and CCX before adopting its current name in 1988. It has expanded considerably
through acquisition both in the US and internationally. One of its many such purchases was of the database marketing operations of rival ChoicePoint Precision Marketing in 2008. Acxiom now has a global footprint, with
offices in Europe and Asia as well as the US. Former Microsoft digital advertising exec Scott Howe replaced John Meyer as
CEO in 2011. Worldwide revenues for fiscal 2012 were $1.13bn, including $771m from marketing & data services of $771m. Adbrands does not currently offer a business profile for this company but subscribers may access
