Maxus Global


Maxus is the newest of WPP's global media networks, originally launched in 2004 in Asia, and subsequently rolled out to Europe and North America, mainly through the absorption of separately branded local units already within the WPP portfolio (such as BJK&E in the UK and CICM in Spain). It enjoyed a spectacularly successful year in 2011, picking up several important global accounts, and encouraging a wave of further expansion. By the end of 2011, Maxus was active in around 45 markets. Like sister networks Mindshare, MEC and Mediacom it shares the resources of WPP's media negotiation unit GroupM. Recma estimated billings of $4.5bn in 2010, but that figure will increase substantially for 2011. Advertising Age estimated global revenues of $119m in 2010. Kelly Clark is global CEO.
