The local outpost of Grey Worldwide is one of Canada's biggest advertising agencies, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Active in Canada since 1958, Grey was once one of the country's top agencies. However, performance faltered dramatically towards the end of the 2000s. Stephanie Nerlich was hired from Lowe Roche to become CEO in 2011, and oversaw a steady revival of the business, adding new managers, improving the agency's new business record and accumulating an impressive collection of awards. She resigned in 2016 to join MDC Partners, and has yet to be replaced. Shortly afterwards, Grey Canada's chief creative officer Patrick Scissons also jumped ship to MDC's KBS agency. For now, Grey Canada is now overseen by COO Leah Power. Darlene Remlinger is president of the main Toronto agency. Helen Pak joined from Havas in early 2017 as chief creative officer. The agency expanded its offering at the end of 2016 with the acquisition of Montreal creative boutique Tank. See also the Adbrands profile of the main Grey Worldwide network.
