Serviceplan is Germany's biggest independent marketing group, owned and run by the Haller family. In recent years, the agency has also developed a growing reputation as one of the country's most creative agencies, following the appointment of group creative director Alex Schill. In 2013, it was named the local #1 for creativity by trade magazine HorizonT, and has remained among the top three since then.

Adbrands Weekly Update 9th Nov 2017: Ads of the Week "The Long Path". Trust the Germans to come up with a completely different approach to Christmas ads. Adbrands Weekly Update 28th Jul 2016: German group Serviceplan, Europe's largest independent marketing agency by a considerable margin, reported another dynamic year to June 2016. Gross income rose 12% to E340m, including revenues outside Germany up 30% to E77m. Digital agency was the biggest contributor to the group total at just over 26% of gross income, slightly ahead of media arm Mediaplus and the main Serviceplan integrated agency, both at a little over 22%.

Adbrands Weekly Update 15th Oct 2015: German independent agency Serviceplan is to establish a direct presence in France for the first time, according to German trade press, with the rebranding of local agency Dufresne Corrigan Scarlett, in which it already has a minority shareholding. That follows its capture of the local BMW account earlier this year. Meanwhile in Germany, local DIY retail king Hornbach moved its media business from longtime incumbent Crossmedia to Serviceplan's Mediaplus unit.

Adbrands Weekly Update 30th Jul 2015: German group Serviceplan, Europe's biggest independent marketing services group, reported another superb set of results for the year to June. Revenues leapt by 21% to E304m, boosted by international expansion and the acquisition of ecommerce agency Hmmh mid-year. Currency fluctuation played almost no part in the growth since most of Serviceplan's business is within the Eurozone. Staff numbers jumped by around 50% to 2,800 employees, and revenues outside Germany rose by 55% to E59m.

Adbrands Weekly Update 24th July 2014: Germany's biggest independent marketing group Serviceplan reported record results for its most recent financial year, ending June. The privately owned company disclosed a 16% increase in gross income to E252m. A little under a third of revenues (E80m) were generated by the main Serviceplan integrated agency, but it was overtaken in total contribution by digital network, whose total revenues topped E103m, split almost equally between Germany and international markets. The group has been steadily expanding its international network, adding offices in Belgium, Russia, India and Korea within the past year. The latter outpost was this week awarded the launch campaign for Ikea's first steps into Korea later this year. Serviceplan today announced the acquisition of German ecommerce agency HMMH.
