Selected Tchibo advertising

A household name in Germany, Tchibo is best-known for its roasted coffee, with brands including Tchibo, Gala von Eduscho and Qbo, but also operates a large retail division selling consumer lifestyle products from clothing to computers. It operates around 700 retail outlets in Germany, most of them with an integrated coffee bar, and around another 400 across several Central & Easterrn European countries, as well as several thousand concession counters in supermarkets and other retailers. Its Reemtsma subsidiary was for many years the country's dominant tobacco company, but that business was sold in 2002. Tchibo's owners, the wealthy Herz family, used the resulting cash to acquire full control of Beiersdorf, makers of international skincare brand Nivea. Beiersdorf and Tchibo now operate entirely independently of one another, although both are controlled by private holding company Maxingvest. Thomas Linemayr is CEO. Revenues for 2015 were €3.3bn.
