GIIR is now South Korea's third largest marketing group (after Cheil and Hyundai-owned Innocean), built around the core agency previously known as LG Ad. To highlight its nominal separation from original parent LG Group, that agency changed its name in March 2008 to HS Ad. However LG remains its biggest shareholder, although WPP also has a significant stake in the business, which is affiliated globally with Y&R.
