The company has steadily strengthened its presence in the sector through launch and acquisition, and also controls a number of other well-known brands around the world including Odol, Dr Best and Macleans. Aquafresh and especially Sensodyne have both enjoyed strong performance since the late 1990s, and are now the two most valuable brands in GSK's consumer healthcare portfolio.
