Brunswick is a public relations group specialising in corporate and financial communications, or more specifically "critical issues and corporate relations". It is best-known as an advisor to buyers or sellers involved in mergers & acquisitions; for example AB InBev's acquisition of SABMiller, 21st Century Fox's proposed buyout of Sky and Reckitt Benckiser's of Mead Johnson. It was the global #1 in M&A-related PR in both 2015 and 2016, handling more than 200 separate deals each year. However it has also widened its brief into broader financial and corporate PR. It was, for example, BP's main crisis communications consultancy during the Gulf of Mexico disaster. Founded in London in 1987, the privately owned group now has offices in 14 key global markets. Subsidiary companies include design agency MerchantCantos, presentations coaching unit Lincoln Centre and cultural communications specialist Brunswick Arts. The business is still owned and run by co-founders Sir Alan Parker, Andrew Fenwick and Louise Charlton, along with a team of other partners. Susan Gilchrist was named as CEO in 2012. Industry watcher The Holmes Report estimated global fee income of $240m in 2016. It was the single biggest PR agency headquartered in the UK, and the #11 worldwide. PR Week estimated $276m, putting Brunswick among the Global Top Ten. It ranked the agency as the UK's #2 PR agency by fee income after Edelman.
