Javelin Group, now a division of Accenture, is a consultancy which offers a range of digital services aimed primarily at retailer clients, including ecommerce, location planning, logistics and fulfilment and systems integration. It claims to be Europe's largest specialist in that segment and its client list reads like a roll call of the world's entire retail industry, including virtually all of the top supermarkets in Europe. Javelin also has a growing portfolio of international customers, especially in France where it also has consultancy operations. The business was launched in 1997 by Tony Stockil - still CEO and Javelin's controlling shareholder until the agency was acquired by Accenture in 2015 - and co founder Richard Wolff, now COO. Revenues for ye 2015, its final year as an independent company, were almost £33m. Javelin remains a standalone unit within Accenture's strategy consulting division.
