Alcone Marketing Group is a leading US "brand activation" agency, and a subsidiary of Omnicom, sitting within that group's DAS Global division. Alcone has two offices in the US, in Irvine, California and Darien, Connecticut. The company offers field and event marketing, point-of-sale, digital and telemarketing and fulfilment services, as well as promotional merchandise, premium gifts and sponsored contests. The business was founded in 1976 by Matt Alcone as Alcone Promotion. Following acquisition by Omnicom in 1991 it expanded its US presence by taking over like-minded US agency Sims Freeman O'Brien, and opened an office in London. Connecticut agency Gaskell Associates was absorbed in 1997. In 2002, the UK office was enlarged when it absorbed the sales promotion arm of stablemate Claydon Heeley. However, that business was subsequently split and merged back into Claydon Heeley and Agency Republic in early 2008. Alcone's Irvine office was strengthened in 2005 with the purchase of smaller independent The Marketing Partners. Matt Alcone remains chairman & CEO.
