Bravo Group, sometimes known as Bravo/Y&R, is part of the Young & Rubicam Brands group. It is one of the largest multicultural agencies in the US, and has been a leading player in the Hispanic segment of the market since 1999. Headquartered in Miami it also has outposts in New York, San Francisco and Chicago. The agency offers a broad range of integrated services from creative advertising through to below-the-line promotions and direct and digital marketing. Unlike most multicultural agencies, which began as independents, Bravo started life as an in-house unit of Y&R New York, set up in 1980 primarily to handle translation of English-language ads into Spanish for a Hispanic audience. It gradually developed a separate life from its parent. Much of the credit for this was due to Cuban-born Daisy Exposito, who joined the fledgling unit as creative director a year after its formation. Over the following years, she spearheaded the expansion of the business, becoming president & CEO in 1990. She finally left the agency in 2004 (and later acquired a breakaway agency from Bravo, renamed Exposito & Partners). In 2006, Bravo Group was effectively merged with the Miami outposts of both Y&R and Wunderman, though all three retain their separate identities under a shared management team. In summer 2014, Bravo also took over the remaining clients of Y&R's Asian-American marketing agency Kang & Lee following its closure. Eric Hoyt is CEO of Y&R's Miami office, and of Bravo. AdAge estimated revenues of $20m in 2017. Adbrands does not currently profile this company but subscribers may access account assignments and contact information.
