Upscale denim marketer Guess has a worldwide reputation for its sexy magazine advertising, which in the past made stars of previously little-known names including Claudia Schiffer and Anna Nicole Smith. The company designs and markets a range of premium-priced casual apparel and accessories for women, men and children. Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, Guess is performing more strongly than ever before, with revenues and profits hitting record levels each year between 2009 and 2011. A large part of that growth has been supplied by the brand's expansion in Europe, where sales are close to equaling those in North America.
