IW Group - formerly Imada Wong Communications - is one of the leading multicultural agencies in the US specialising in the Asian-American market. It has a presence in New York and San Francisco in addition to its Los Angeles HQ. Founder Bill Imada is regarded as the godfather of Asian marketing in the US. He remains de facto chairman of the business, though his official title is chief connectivity officer. Nita Song - formerly president - is now billed as chief momentum officer. The agency was one of the original pioneers in this field when it was founded in 1990. Imada sold a 49% shareholding to former FCB parent True North in 2000; that stake was later inherited by, and is still owned by, Interpublic. Advertising Age estimated US revenues of $12m in 2017. McDonald's is one of the agency's oldest clients as well as its biggest. Adbrands does not currently profile this company but subscribers may access account assignments and contact information.
