Sanders Wingo is a leading multicultural agency in the US, specialising in the African-American market. Originally a traditional ad agency founded by David Sanders in the late 1950s in Austin, Texas, it went through several different names and partners over the following years. In 1983, Sanders invited black executive Bob Wingo, then head of marketing for client BTK Industries, to join the firm as president, at which point it became Sanders Wingo Galvin & Morton Advertising. Wingo gradually bought out the other partners to take full ownership. He remains executive chairman; his daughter Leslie became CEO in 2015. Though often characterised as a multicultural shop, Sanders Wingo also produces general market ads for local clients in Texas. Advertising Age estimated US revenues of $13m in 2016.
