Until its closure in 2019, TM Advertising was an independent creative agency based in Dallas, Texas. Originally a spin-off from the Bozell network, it was at one time - under the name Temerlin McClain - one of the largest full-service agencies in the US Southwest. Acquired by Interpublic in 2001, it retained its standalone status, aligned with McCann Worldgroup. However, performance during the later 2000s was uneven, with the agency becoming increasingly reliant upon cornerstone client American Airlines. That account finally departed in 2015. Two years later, TM's management team, led by CEO Becca Weigman, bought back the agency from Interpublic to become fully independent. Wade Alger was chief creative officer. However, life an an independent was not easy, and the agency suffered a steady erosion of its client base of the following two years.
