Wing, previously WING Latino, is the main Hispanic agency within Grey Global Group, with offices in New York and Miami. The agency is a comparatively small player in the US Hispanic market, but produces a quantity of advertising for the larger Latin American market. To distance itself a little from its Hispanic roots, it shortened its name in 2009 from Wing Latino. Advertising Age estimated revenues of $7m in 2017, the largest proportion of which is generated by key client Procter & Gamble. The agency's roots go back to the 1970s. Grey first acquired a stake in Puerto Rico-based agency West Indies advertising in the 1980s, renaming it West Indies & Grey (abbreviated as WI n'G). The group took full control in 1994, and in 2000 merged it with New York-based Hispanic shop FOVA to form WING Latino. For most of that period, the shop was led by Jackie Bird, who first joined West Indies & Grey in 1980 as an account executive, rising to president in 1994. She finally retired in 2008 and was replaced by Alain Groenendaal, who relaunched the agency the following year. Groenendaal moved up in 2012 to lead Grey Latin America and was succeeded by Andrew Speyer, and then Sandra Alfaro, who was named as managing director in 2014. Favio Ucedo is chief creative officer.
